We're meeting in conjunction with the Neobiota meeting September of 2008.

When: We will start Sunday Sept. 21, and finish up Tuesday Sept. 23 in time for the afternoon start of Neobiota. 

Funding: As usual, we can not afford full reimbursement (particularly given the exchange rate!) but we can substantially offset the travel of U.S. participants (~USD 1,800-2,300 depending upon numbers of travelers).  We can not pay travel for international participants from what NSF considers 'developed' regions, but we can offset hotel costs, as per my earlier email.  We are able to support international participants from less developed regions more fully.

What: The following groups plan to meet. 1. Native vs. introduced demographic comparisons; 2. Indirect effects and invasions; 3. Invasive grasses database; 4. Strong-inference and invasions; 4. Incorporating evolutionary dynamics into models of invasions. Additionally, we will have a general meeting and hope to start several other groups working on different topics.
